2nd Edition
THE HOUSE & GARDEN KIT
Magnetic · Metric 1:50
Planning with planora
How it works
Scaled pieces on magnetic gridboards — designed to work alone or together.
01 — Choose your kit
Start small or go all-in
Start with a Room or Garden Planner, or add Kitchen and Bathroom Planners for closer detail. Extend any setup with Furniture, People, Building Elements, or Sketchpads and pens.
02 — Place and explore
Move, test, rearrange
Place scaled pieces straight onto the magnetic board. Rearrange, rotate, and test layouts freely — everything holds where you put it.
03 — Expand your surface
Gridboards connect like a puzzle
Every planner includes two gridboards that connect like a puzzle. Add another pair for larger homes — it all stays aligned.
04 — Draw, sketch, or both
Sketch your own plans
Prefer to draw your own walls? Sketch a plan on the Sketchpad with the Planning Pens, then place pieces right on top — with or without the gridboards.
2ND EDITION
The new magnetic range
Every piece reworked — walnut veneer, magnetic hold, a warmer finish.
WORDS FROM THE FOUNDERS
The architects behind the brand
We spent years helping people design their homes — always working through layouts physically. So we built the tool we wished existed, easy enough for anyone.
FAQ
Whether you're redesigning a room, working with clients, or just trying out new ideas — Planora works for homeowners, designers, architects, families, and anyone who thinks better with their hands. It also makes a great gift.
It's a fair question, and here's how we see it. There's no learning curve, you open the box and start planning. No software to figure out, no tutorials to watch. If you're in the middle of a renovation or move and want to think things through before the professionals get involved, Planora gives you a way to do that on your own first. And if you are a professional, it's one of the better tools for working through ideas with clients around a table. For the scale of most home projects, it's a small investment, and reusable for the next.
Lay out your Gridboards and start placing pieces. A natural starting point is building the walls first, then adding windows, doors, and furniture.
Each product is built around a different use — the Room Planner for interiors, the Garden Planner for outdoor spaces, the Kitchen and Bathroom Planners for detailed close-up work, and the add-ons for extending any layout.
It means 1 cm on the board represents 50 cm (1:50) or 25 cm (1:25) in real life — two standard architectural scales. All components in the kits are proportioned to match, making it easy to plan and visualise spaces accurately.
Yes. Print or draw your floor plan to the same scale as your Planora product (1:50 or 1:25) and place the pieces directly on top.
Each Gridboard represents 133 m² (9.5 × 14 m) at 1:50 scale, or 31.5 m² (7 × 4.5 m) at 1:25 scale. Every planner set includes two Gridboards — connect them for a larger surface.
If you're missing a piece or something's been damaged, email info@planorashop.com and we'll do our best to help.
Not currently — our kits are designed at 1:50 and 1:25 scale.
The Planners, Gridboards, and Add-ons all have a built-in magnetic function.

What our customers say
I’m very pleased with the quality and usefulness of this product. It’s also aesthetically beautiful and fun to work with.
The room planner is excellent, and would be perfect with a few additions to the basic plan, namely, office and bedroom furniture. For example, there are 2 desks and several bookcases, but no file cabinets. There are no dressers or chest of drawers for the bedrooms. I found that building the walls and windows was quite time-consuming and ended up laying my own paper floor plan on top of the base, and easily arranging the magnetic furniture on top of the paper. The magnets worked through the paper!
easy, cute and very useful! I used it for definicing the new space of my new office.
I like it , really it helps us how organized the furniture .
Thank you 👍🏻❤️
Thank you for your kind words! We're glad Room Planner helps you stay organized. Feel free to reach out if you need any further assistance.
Fantastico, mi sto divertendo tantissimo a progettare
I’ve been loving playing around with room layouts, and this ‘people’ add-on makes it even more fun. Seeing everything come to life with walls, furniture, and now people is so satisfying. Honestly, once I start planning, hours just fly by, that’s how addictive it is!
Having so much fun planning next years garden renovation
prachtig product, kwalitatief mooi, fijn in gebruik, fijne snelle levering, aanrader!
Such a fun way to plan your interiors and easy to use. It’s great that you can try out different layouts quickly.
Buono
Werkt fantastisch.
Bought as a present for my wife, now we are rearranging our house!’
Durchdachtes Planungstool und sehr schön verarbeitet und verpackt🤩
Spedizione tracciata e veloce. Consigliato.
Bra
Great product to work on room layout for new house were building
I actually give it 4.5 stars because the magnetic quality could be stronger. The pieces move pretty easily once placed. Also, I thought there would be more furniture pieces.
I did just order the extension kit (so darn it, that coupon would have come in handy!), but even that doesn’t have a huge variety. I figure you guys will keep adding more. Overall, I really dig it. I’m pretty analog, so I really like the idea of a design in real space. Easy to play around with arrangement and just an overall, great idea!
I received my room planner a few weeks ago and I have been using it every day! I’m doing renovation to my home and it has been so helpful to get a clear idea of how things fit together. It’s so much easier than drawing it out and having to erase everything to start over. I can get furniture measurements and see realistically how they will actually work in each room. I just love it!
I bought this as a gift for my very creative daughter. She LOVES it!
My husband is impossible to shop for, but hes obsessed with this.
Loving this creative tool. Not easy to get started but once the walls are down to scale the fun begins. So good to know you’re keeping to scale every step of the way. New ideas just jump out at you. Recommend to every old school design tragic like me.
Perfect!
Such a great idea really good quality
Great little product and fantastic delivery times I received it in Australia within seven days… Very impressed!
I have been having way too much fun with the PLANORA home and garden kit.
I've always enjoyed turning 2-D drawings into 3-D... I just see and feel the space differently, this tool makes design so easy and enjoyable. I’ve ended up spending hours just testing my ideas and suddenly realise half the day had disappeared.... I'm happy!
The best part? While using our PLANORA to assist me with my plans, I actually spotted a few few mistakes in our Draftsman’s floor plans that we’ve now had corrected.....didn’t they feel silly!!!!
It’s a fantastic way to properly understand my space before we build. Super satisfying easy to use and unexpectedly addictive.
Highly recommend for anyone planning a Renovation extension or new home build.
